Raider Robotics was founded in 2013, where we competed for two seasons before taking a one year hiatus and returning stronger and better than ever under a new mentor. In 2018, we won our first regional competition and went to the world championships in Houston, TX. Detailed match stats can be viewed at The Blue Alliance. Here is a summary of our different competitions.
2022: Capital City
Our Robot: Astrid
Our 2022 robot was built in six short weeks. We used a strong design which immensly improved our defense. We placed first thanks to the rigidity of our robot and our fantastic drivers, Katie and Matthew Davies.

2020: Infinite Recharge
|
Our Robot: Tauntaun
This years robot was built on the idea of building a simple robot that can complete complex task. We built a very affect shooter that was able to consistently hit the target and score points. We built the most effective climber we have ever used as a team with the ability to climb in every match. |
2019: Deep Space
|
Our Robot: BumbleBee
Our 2019 robot improves on last year's robot in almost every way. From an upgraded dual speed drivetrain, to our first successful and reliable climb system, to our new intake, we're proud of what we've accomplished this year. We advanced into playoffs at all three of our competitions, and ended our season as the third highest scoring team at the Idaho Regional. |
2018: Power Up
|
Our Robot: Kachow
We finally did it! 2018 was our best year so far, finally reaching our goal of attending the FRC world championship in Houston, Texas. We had a robot that could do everything except climb. Our robot wasn't the fastest, but it got the job done consistently and on time. Even with a budget a fraction as large as other teams in California, our superstar drivers were able to complete nearly every task above average. Leading to our first win of a regional championship. |
2017: Steamworks
|
Our Robot: Rory
In 2017, we had yet to master the tricky learning curve of FRC. We were able to build a decent robot that could complete a majority of the tasks in the game, including climbing, dispensing balls into the lower goal, and delivering gears. However, we were plagued with numerous technical difficulties due to lack of experience such as battery malfunctions and software errors. Despite our issues, we still remained competitive, finishing with a rank in the middle of the pack at the Sacramento Regional. |
2016: Stronghold
|
Our Robot: Abigail
This was our first year under new leadership, and with it came the challenge of rebuilding the team from the ground up. This game required the robot to climb through objects and move over certain obstacles to get a certain amount of points per the task it completes. Our robot could not throw or climb, but it could go over every single obstacle in the game. |
